Our goal is to augment your knowledge base and skill set in order for you to be able to competently perform moderate IV sedation in your dental practice. Our course will provide you with the necessary training to obtain board approval in your state for Moderate IV Sedation.

  • WE DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THE IDEA THAT ONLINE TRAINING IS THE EQUIVALENT OF LIVE LECTURE. DR. IV SEDATION IS SIMPLE, SAFE AND EFFECTIVE. BUT ONLY IF THE TRAINING CAN CAPTURE THE ATTENTION OF THE PARTICIPANT AND LOCK THE IDEAS SOLIDLY IN THEIR MINDS.

COURSE OUTLINE

Take A Peak Inside The Course

Patient Selection

At WSS, we prioritize patient safety. We advocate for limiting sedation to ASA I and ASA II patients.

Titration

Our course emphasizes the proper administration (titration), in combination with a ‘magic’ oral sedation enhancer. We equip you with the knowledge and skills to effectively maintain your patient's sedation level.

Airway/Emergency Management

Confidently managing your patient’s airway is crucial. At WSS, we provide comprehensive training to ensure you can handle any potential complications. We understand that anesthesia-related issues most often stem from compromised airways.

Proficiency Training

We believe in a hands-on approach to learning. Our course combines informative lectures, practical repetition, and interactive training to help you achieve proficiency in IV moderate sedation.

By completing our course, you will be able to provide IV moderate sedation to your patients with the utmost safety and confidence.

The Dental IV Sedation course offered by Western Surgical and Sedation is designed to be both cost-effective and focused. Our comprehensive training program can be completed within 60 hours and spans over 6 concentrated days.* Rest assured, our curriculum aligns with the recommended content and objectives set by the American Dental Association.

In contrast to other organizations, we understand the value of your time and financial resources. Our course eliminates the need for multiple visits, allowing you to remain present in your office and with your family. This prevents any potential loss of office income and excessive travel expenses, which often accompany other courses. By adhering to the ADA’s guidelines, we firmly believe that a 60-hour training period is sufficient to equip dentists with the necessary skills to administer IV moderate sedation safely. Western Surgical and Sedation ensures that all objectives and recommended content by the American Dental Association are thoroughly covered in our affordable IV course, priced at $16,950. Additionally, our program only requires a commitment of one week, one flight, and one hotel stay.*

Additionally, we do not believe that online courses are as effective as small group live lecture training. We are dedicated to keeping as much of our course LIVE as possible. Nothing replaces learning from engaging, exciting and compelling live material. Questions are better answered and comprehension is improved.

We take great pride in our esteemed faculty, comprised of experienced professionals in anesthesiology, paramedicine, psychology, and other relevant fields. Collectively, they possess extensive expertise, having delivered countless hours of parenteral sedation. Dr. Hendrickson, for instance, boasts a remarkable track record of over 60,000 successful sedations performed or attended to as a surgeon.
